ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly met by our professional representative and transferred to Karibu Heritage House in Arusha for your overnight stay. Here, you can refresh, relax by the pool, enjoy delectable dining, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. Our representative will also provide a brief safari briefing about your upcoming 8-day family holiday.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing and photography. Lake Manyara is a birding paradise, home to large flocks of flamingos, pelicans, storks, and hornbills. You will also spot hippos cooling off in the water, as well as giraffes, gazelles, impalas, and warthogs browsing the woodlands. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration
After an early breakfast, we proceed with our wilderness safari, departing the lodge for a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley up into the cooler, lush regions of the Ngorongoro Highlands. We descend 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor—the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Known as a natural wonder of the world, this sanctuary hosts over 25,000 large mammals. You will have the ultimate chance to spot the "Big Five" (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare black rhino) roaming the wildlife-laden floor.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Highlands to Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a hearty breakfast while taking in the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater from its rim before traveling onwards to the legendary Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti, Tanzania's largest and most famous park, is a land of endless grassy plains, scenic kopjes, swamps, and savanna hills, hosting the greatest wildlife show on earth.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
This entire day is dedicated to deep game drives across the endless plains of the Serengeti. The park provides habitat for an abundance of resident wildlife, such as impalas, buffaloes, cheetahs, topis, crocodiles, and hippos. Depending on the season, you will experience the awe-inspiring sights of the Great Wildebeest Migration herds moving alongside thousands of zebras.

Day 6: Serengeti to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at 08:00 hrs, we set out for an en-route game drive across the Serengeti plains, heading back through the Ngorongoro highlands toward Tarangire National Park. Enjoying a scenic picnic lunch along the way, we arrive at Tarangire to explore its stunning terrain. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds, iconic giant Baobab trees, and the life-giving Tarangire River, which draws a multitude of wildlife during the dry spells.
Overnight: Tarangire Tented Lodge / Maramboi Tented Camp (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, and Dinner
Day 7: Tarangire National Park to Arusha
At 07:30 hrs, after breakfast, we head out for a morning game drive in Tarangire. From the open roof of our state-of-the-art 4x4 safari vehicle, you will enjoy unobstructed views of zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and giraffes. Keep your eyes peeled for lions stalking their prey or leopards relaxing in the acacia branches above. At 11:30 hrs, we drive back to Arusha for hot lunch and an afternoon of relaxation by the pool in the peaceful surroundings of our lodge.

Day 8: Departure Day (Arusha to Airport)
On this final morning of your amazing 8-day Tanzanian family safari, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge. At 09:00 hrs, you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (or Arusha Airport) for your outbound flight home or onward holiday destination.
