Complete park registration and begin your guided trek through the dense tropical rainforest. Ascend along well-maintained trails while listening to bird calls and watching for black-and-white colobus monkeys in the canopy. Arrive at Mandara Hut 2,720m after 3 to 4 hours of hiking. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch and take a short 15-minute walk to the rim of Maundi Crater for panoramic views. Descend back through the rainforest to Marangu Gate (approx. 2 to 3 hours), receive your trek completion confirmation, and transfer back to your hotel or airport.
